How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Corporate Senor Associate/Partner

    The perfect role has arisen for a corporate solicitor looking to join a well-known corporate department—without the need to commute into the city centre or work traditional city hours.

    This firm is highly regarded in the Legal 500 and ranked Tier 2 for its corporate offering outside of Birmingham city centre.

    The firm has a proven track record of promoting its people based on ability and aptitude, rather than purely PQE, making it an excellent environment for ambitious solicitors looking to accelerate their careers.


    The Role

    The firm is seeking a corporate senior associate solicitor or Partner with at least 5 years’ PQE to join a highly experienced yet close-knit team.

    In this role, you will:

    • Work alongside top-quality lawyers on high-calibre matters
    • Manage your own caseload of corporate work
    • Assist on more complex transactions to further develop your expertise
    • Provide a full range of corporate legal services to a diverse client base, including public companies, multinationals, financial institutions, owner-managed businesses, and start-ups

    Your work will primarily focus on general M&A, including data rooms, disclosure exercises, and drafting.


    About You

    To be considered for this role, you will:

    • Be a qualified corporate solicitor with 5 years’ PQE upwards
    • Demonstrate a strong appetite for progression and taking on responsibility
    • Be capable of managing your own caseload, with support available from a friendly and collaborative team
