We’re looking for a talented Designer to join a leading footwear brand in London on a maternity cover contract. You’ll design trend-led, commercially relevant collections aligned with the brand’s aesthetic, working across the full design process from concept to final product.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and interpret seasonal trends, materials, colours, and silhouettes relevant to the brand and target customer
- Design cohesive footwear collections across multiple categories (e.g. Heels, boots, flats, sandals)
- Create detailed design packs, including technical drawings, material specifications, and construction details
- Collaborate with product developers and suppliers to ensure designs are executed to a high standard and within cost parameters
- Attend fit sessions and provide clear feedback to refine product
- Work closely with merchandising and buying teams to ensure alignment with commercial strategy
- Maintain awareness of competitor activity and market trends
- Support the Creative Director/Head of Design in evolving the brand’s design direction
Skills & Experience
- Experience in womens footwear design
- Strong portfolio showcasing creativity and commercial awareness
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
- Good knowledge of construction and materials
- Organised, collaborative, and able to meet deadlines
