How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

By enabling cleaner energy production, the company is helping to drive the transition toward a more sustainable and resilient energy system.

    Role Overview

We are seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant who is CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified (or part‑qualified) to play a key role in supporting the financial performance of the business. The role combines strong technical accounting, robust financial control, and commercial insight, working closely with senior stakeholders to provide timely and accurate management information that drives decision‑making and strategic planning. This position is suited to an accountant trained within a reporting‑focused and control‑driven environment who enjoys partnering with the wider business to add value.

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial Control & Accounting Operations

    • Lead and support the Finance Team, ensuring Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger processes operate efficiently and in line with agreed payment terms.
    • Oversee the verification and reconciliation of collections prior to supplier and management reporting.
    • Provide hands‑on day‑to‑day support to the finance function, resolving accounting and process issues promptly.
    • Conduct regular debtor and creditor reviews to ensure strong working capital management.
    • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial controls, processes, and accounting systems in line with best practice.

    Management Accounts & Statutory Readiness

    • Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts in accordance with accounting standards.
    • Deliver detailed P&L analysis, including clear explanations of variances, trends, and exceptional items.
    • Prepare and maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations and schedules, including Fixed Assets and Stock.
    • Manage accruals, prepayments, payroll allocations, and other technical month‑end adjustments.
    • Support rolling forecasts, budgets, and long‑range financial planning.
    • Complete monthly and quarterly group reporting packs.
    • Support annual and interim audit processes, ensuring audit‑ready documentation and controls.

    Cost Accounting & Performance Management

    • Develop and report KPIs for Operations, Logistics, and Engineering, tracking performance against forecast and long‑term plans.
    • Cost site‑based projects and review financial performance with department heads, challenging variances and assumptions.
    • Identify and support delivery of cost‑saving, efficiency, and margin improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure finance systems are used effectively, providing support and identifying enhancements.
    • Lead or support the evaluation and implementation of new finance and reporting tools where required.

    ustainability & Compliance

    • Support ISCC audit requirements related to material processing and sustainability reporting.
    • Lead sustainability management accounting activities, aligning financial data with regulatory and industry reporting standards.

    Candidate Profile

    Essential:

    • CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified or part‑qualified
    • Strong technical accounting foundation with experience producing management accounts
    • Confident working with balance sheets, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
    • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills

    Desirable:

    • Experience in a commercial or operational environment
    • Exposure to audits, group reporting, or systems implementation
    • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders

    Key Attributes:

    • Commercially focused with strong analytical skills
