Collide Technical is working with a well-established and growing precision engineering company in Bournemouth, which is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead its quality function within a high-spec aerospace manufacturing environment.
This is a key leadership role offering full ownership of the quality system, the opportunity to drive continuous improvement, and influence business-wide standards in a technically advanced setting.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing and developing the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with aerospace standards, and leading all quality-related activities across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing and maintaining the QMS in line with AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards
* Leading internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and quality processes
* Managing non-conformance, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions (CAPA)
* Overseeing inspection and quality assurance activities
* Working closely with production, engineering, and senior management teams
* Leading, mentoring, and developing the quality team
* Acting as the main point of contact for customer quality issues
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Quality Manager within aerospace or precision engineering
* Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
* Experience leading audits and dealing with customers and regulatory bodies
* Strong background in continuous improvement methodologies
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to influence and drive quality culture across the business
