PAY RATE: £13.73 per hour after 12 weeks £14.65, overtime paid at higher rates
Working Pattern: Shift Times: 10PM – 7AM / 7.30AM, Schedule: 5 - 7 days a week, full time work (Scheduled day ‘s off in the week)
What you will be doing
* Sorting parcels on the conveyor belt to ensure they are correctly organised for dispatch
* Working in a warehouse environment
* Placing sorted parcels into cages, preparing them for timely dispatch to their respective destinations.
* Keeping the sorting area clean and organised to ensure smooth operations and safety.
* Following all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
* Operate scanners to update parcel statuses and facilitate efficient warehouse distribution
* Assist in shipping and receiving activities by preparing parcels for dispatch or receipt
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency
* Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to handle packages of varying sizes and weights
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of all shipments
* Support inventory management through proper filing and record-keeping practices
Requirements
* Previous warehouse or parcel sorting experience preferred but not essential as full training is provided.
* Flexibility to work a 5-day week including weekends.
* Good awareness of health and safety practices.
* Own safety boots and PPE required.
