Aston Workshop is a leading specialist in the sales, servicing, and full restoration of heritage Aston Martin vehicles. From early post-war models through to the legendary DB series, we work on some of the most significant and desirable Aston Martins in existence.
Based in the beautiful Beamish countryside, our 45,000 sq ft facility is home to over 40 skilled specialists. We don’t simply repair vehicles we carry out full, ground-up restorations to exacting standards for collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Restoration Mechanic. This is a hands-on role focused primarily on full mechanical restorations but also shorter-term servicing, tuning and installation of the enhancements we offer.
You will be working on a range of heritage Aston Martin models, including DB2/4, DB4, DB5, DB6, DBS, and AMV8, contributing to restorations that are recognised throughout the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Full mechanical strip-down, rebuild, and reassembly of Aston Martin vehicles
- Engine, gearbox, suspension, braking, and electrical system restoration
- Fault diagnosis and problem solving on classic vehicle systems
- Road testing and final quality verification
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Supporting the team in delivering industry-leading restoration standards
About You
- Proven experience in classic or prestige automotive work
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heritage vehicle systems
- Experience in full restorations from start to finish
- Time-served background with relevant qualifications
- A genuine enthusiasm for Aston Martin and British sports cars
- Aston Martin experience is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate
- A careful, methodical approach with exceptional attention to detail
