How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Procurement Business Partner (Construction/Capital Projects)

ISS are seeking a Procurement Business Partner to provide senior procurement support to the Capital Projects Team for one of our new, UK wide Government contracts.

This is a pivotal role within a high-profile account, where you will work in partnership with capital project leadership to shape and deliver procurement strategies that maximise efficiency, ensure value for money, and uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance.

    Job Description

You will be instrumental in driving innovation and best practice across the supply chain, managing complex tendering processes, and ensuring robust contractual governance.

Acting as a trusted advisor, you will influence key decisions, foster strong supplier relationships, and help deliver successful outcomes for major capital projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the Capital Projects team to ensure value for money on all project procurements.
    • Assist in selecting skilled Tier 2 and Tier 3 supply chain partners for project delivery.
    • Manage competitive tendering processes using the Scanmarket tool.
    • Coordinate supplier rotation boards to maintain balanced workloads and prevent delivery failures.
    • Lead the mobilisation of new suppliers, ensuring compliance, assurance requirements, and contractual flowdowns are met.
    • Drive improved compliance with preferred supplier agreements and ensure all suppliers meet minimum assurance standards.
    • Act as the link between the account team and Procurement to align strategies and objectives.
    • Provide ongoing development, benchmarking, and improvement for the Procurement function on the account.

    Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

    • Extensive and proven procurement experience, ideally within construction and capital projects.
    • Strong technical understanding of construction methods, technology, and standard forms of measurement.
    • Knowledge and experience of NEC contracts.
    • CIPS certification and/or MBA highly desirable.
    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse group of stakeholders.
