How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical / Electronic Technician 
    - Workshop environment testing & collaborating equipment
    - £40k - £45k basic with bonus, 25 day holiday, pension
     
    Overview:
    Are you an Electrical / Electronic professional who wants to use their expertise on the testing & collaborating of various equipment? Maybe looking for a role where it can evolve massively for a hugely growing company?
     
    On that basis, we are looking for an electronic / electrical professional who can test & collaborate equipment in a workshop environment 8am – 4pm.
     
    So a newly created role for an expanding business who see this as an essential role as they expand their northern operation in to the “South” where the role can evolve hugely, so a really unique opportunity.
     
    The role:
    To set the scene, we are a hugely established business who work with a range of different partners to collaborate & test their equipment. Our operation in the North of England is hugely successful, growing and our partners have asked us about replicating this in the South. Now is the time we begin this…
     
    With a blueprint already established in the North of how this works, we now need our first Tester in the South. We have a premises for you to carry out the work, we just need you now.
     
    And as this operation grows arms & legs, we want this person to head up this as we inevitably grow the team. With more opportunities around the South East, this could be a great opportunity.
     
    The Person:
    We’re quite open to the person here as we will need to train you up a little on some of the collaboration of equipment, but if you have a good electronic and / or electrical knowledge you will have the basis needed for sure.
     
    As long you have a good testing knowledge and understand volts / amps / currents then we can get you up to speed. And a desire to really make the most of this unique opportunity!
