The role will include:
Assisting in the planning and execution of statutory audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs and owner managed businesses
Undertaking audit fieldwork, including testing of controls and substantive testing across key financial areas
Preparing clear and well structured audit working papers in line with firm and regulatory standards
Taking responsibility for specific sections of audits, with increasing ownership as experience develops
Identifying audit issues and communicating findings to senior team members
Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP
Supporting the completion of audit assignments, including resolving queries and finalising files
Building effective working relationships with clients and acting as a point of contact during audit engagements
Supporting and guiding junior team members where appropriate
Requirements
Must have a minimum of 12 months experience and studying towards ACCA or ACA
A practical audit and accounts experience gained from an accountancy practice with non-profit companies and charities.
A knowledge of various software packages
Strong communication and team working skills
Experience in direct contact with clients would be preferred
Benefits
£30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
