Bookkeeper

TPF Recruitment is partnering with an independent firm of chartered accountants located near Reigate, who are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team. With a minimum of 2 years of accountancy practice experience, ideally holding an AAT Level 3 qualification as a minimum, this role offers a salary ranging from £27,000 to £32,000 depending on experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

Perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties for clients, including processing invoices, bank reconciliations, and managing accounts payable and receivable.

Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.

Assist with the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.

Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to resolve queries and provide support as needed.

Use accounting software effectively to maintain accurate records and streamline processes.

Requirements
What We Require:

Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an accountancy practice.

Ideally, AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent.

Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Enthusiasm for learning and professional development.
