About the Role
You’ll lead the Technical and Quality function for all electrical product categories — guiding strategy, improving product performance, and ensuring every product is safe, compliant and meets customer expectations.
This role blends leadership, handson technical expertise, and strategic quality management. You’ll work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and global teams to drive continuous improvement and reinforce a culture of quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the Technical Team setting clear standards
* Oversee product testing, compliance, and auditing processes to ensure products meet international safety, legal, and quality standards (LVD, EMC, ERP, RoHS, etc.).
* Drive supplier quality improvement programmes and cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety or performance.
* Manage customer complaints and incident investigations effectively and proactively.
* Collaborate with 3rd party testing and inspection agencies (both UK and overseas).
* Monitor and report on quality KPIs and supplier performance
About You
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
* Significant number of years experience in manufacturing or product testing
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading a technical or quality team.
* Strong analytical thinker with meticulous attention to detail.
* Excellent communicator — confident in leading teams and influencing stakeholders
* Proactive, adaptable, and customer focused with a passion for achieving results.
