How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Maintenance Technician (PLC Training)

    Factory based, Commutable from Blackwood, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Newport, Merthyr Tydfil, Bridgend, Cwmbran, Caldicot, Chepstow, Bridgend, and more

    3-Shift Pattern: Week 1: 6am-2pm, Week 2: 2pm - 10pm, Week 3: days, 8:30am - 4:30pm

    Are you a Maintenance Technician / Engineer with electrical knowledge looking to further develop your skills with great training in areas such as PLCs, gaining opportunities to progress in a role with no night shifts, and to further maximise your earnings with additional overtime?

    This company are a leading manufacturer who have sites across the UK. They have recently invested over £2 million in overhauling their automation equipment, opening new sites and making exciting acquisitions. Due to continued growth they are looking for a keen maintenance engineer to join their team.

    On offer is a role with great training, where you will carry out breakdown, service and PPM to a wide range of equipment, from automation, robotics, and injection moulding machines. The role is working on a 3-shift pattern with no nights: Week 1: 6m-2pm, Week 2: 2pm - 10pm, Week 3: days, 8:30am - 4:30pm.

    This role would suit an Electrical Engineer / Technician, Maintenance Engineer or similar who has worked in manufacturing, production, industrial or related sectors. Training will be provided to further gain electrical qualifications and PLC / Controls experience.

    The Role:
    *Monday - Friday, 37.5 hour week - 3-Shift Pattern: Week 1: 6m-2pm, Week 2: 2pm - 10pm, Week 3: days, 8:30am - 4:30pm
    *Maintenance and breakdown of machinery
    *Injection moulding, automation and manufacturing machinery

    The Person:
    *Electrically biased engineer
    *Manufacturing/ industrial/ machinery experience
    *Wants to technically progress their career
