Thetford | £42,000 per annum | Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (06:00 – 14:30 / 14:00 – 22:30)
We are looking for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy production team. This is a key role within the maintenance team, responsible for keeping production machinery and equipment running efficiently and reliably through a mix of routine, preventative, and reactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake routine and planned maintenance on production machinery to reduce the risk of breakdowns
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults and implement timely solutions
Carry out emergency repairs to minimise production downtime
Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including fault reports and service logs
Contribute to continuous improvement activity, helping to drive efficiency and reduce operational costs
Work safely at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures
Skills and Experience Required
A background in maintenance engineering, ideally gained within a production or manufacturing setting
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving machinery faults
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems would be an advantage
A practical problem-solver who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Clear and confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with colleagues and management at all levels
A good understanding of health and safety practices, with relevant certifications or engineering qualifications desirable
