Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and book national freight rates for both inbound and outbound shipments.
- Provide Designers with accurate national freight rates for quoting purposes.
- Maintain and update the pipeline of expected and actual UK shipping dates.
- Deliver weekly updates to clients regarding shipping schedules.
- Issue all necessary paperwork to clients, including Certificates of Conformity (CoCs) upon receipt of goods.
- Oversee inventory and forecasting to ensure accurate stock counts, including conducting monthly rolling stock takes.
- Assist in the development of new systems to support company growth.
- Provide backup support within the logistics department.
Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills with clients and colleagues, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
- Knowledge/Expertise: Demonstrable experience with computers and software, including Outlook and Excel, as well as UK freight forwarding.
- Innovation: High attention to detail and a proactive approach to developing new systems and processes.
- Business Impact: Strong teamwork and customer focus, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the logistics department.
40 hour working week 08:30am start, Monday to Friday
