How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Paraplanner – Wealth Management | Up to £45,000 + Excellent Benefits | Near Hitchin

    Location: Offices based near Hitchin

    Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

    Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on experience) + excellent benefits


    The Opportunity

    An established and highly regarded Wealth Management firm is looking to welcome an experienced Paraplanner to its growing team.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong paraplanner with a passion for investments and financial planning. You’ll play a key role in supporting Financial Planners, delivering high-quality, compliant advice while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

    There is also a clear route to Adviser for those looking to progress their career.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Produce high-quality, compliant suitability reports (with a focus on pensions & investments)
    • Support Financial Planners with client meeting preparation, including cashflow modelling and scenario planning
    • Maintain accurate and compliant client records in line with FCA standards
    • Assist with portfolio reviews and ongoing investment management
    • Provide general paraplanning and administrative support

    About You

    • Proven experience as a Paraplanner within a Wealth Management or Financial Planning firm
    • Strong interest in investments and portfolio management
    • Demonstrated experience writing suitability reports to a high standard
    • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail
    • Solid understanding of UK regulatory requirements and suitability standards
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
    • Experience using Intelligent Office / Intelliflo and Genovo
    • Familiarity with research tools such as Morningstar or FactSet (advantageous)

    Qualifications

    • Diploma qualified (CII Level 4 or equivalent – CISI also considered)
