How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role: Industrial Door Engineer
    Location: London (North East)
    Salary: £21ph DOE
    Shift: Monday – Friday (40 hours)
    Overtime: Offered at 1.5x
    On Call: None

    My client, a respected independent specialist in Industrial and Automatic Door Systems, is looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Industrial Door Engineer. This is a permanent, field-based role offering consistent work, a local patch, and the opportunity to expand your technical knowledge.

    As an Industrial Door Engineer you will be responsible for
    You will be working remotely from home as there will be no local depot
    You will be covering reactive call outs, PPMs, further works and installs from start to finish includes wiring and commissioning on a range of Industrial doors, roller shutters, sectional shutters, entrance doors and steel fire exits, auto doors 
    Deliver safe and compliant work in line with industry standards

    The successful Industrial Door Engineer will have the following experience
    Sectional doors – lead engineer who can install, carry out repairs, change springs, cable breaks, motors and competent with GFA panels and can wire and commission an install.
    Roller shutters - lead engineer who can install, carry out repairs, wire and commission
    Steel doors and Aluminium doors – survey, carry out repairs, install new
    Auto doors – fault find and repairs, changing motors, belts and panels would be a bonus but not essential
