The Role:
Reporting into the Team Leader, you will support the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring work is completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
• Final preparation of patterns, moulds, and castings
• Using hand tools, air tools, and abrasives to achieve high-quality finishes
• Working independently where required to meet production demands
• Checking drawings and route card instructions for accuracy and clarity
• Supporting process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
• Maintaining equipment and ensuring it is in good working condition
Skills & Experience Needed:
• Experience in a manufacturing or similar hands-on environment
• Ability to read engineering drawings (advantageous but not essential)
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
