How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Kit Cutter (Late Shift) – Northamptonshire – Salary DOE + Shift Allowance + Overtime + Benefits – REF 060

    Northamptonshire
    Mon – Thurs
    Late Shift – 4:30pm – 3:00am

    An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading advanced manufacturing business specialising in high-performance carbon fibre components for the automotive and motorsport sectors. With decades of industry expertise, the company is recognised for delivering precision-engineered solutions to some of the most prestigious names in the industry.

    Operating to internationally recognised standards including IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, the business continues to invest in its people, technology, and processes as part of an ongoing growth journey.

    As part of this expansion, they are now looking to recruit a Kit Cutter to join their late shift production team.

    The Role:

    • Cutting composite kits using CNC cutting machinery in line with production schedules
    • Ensuring materials are prepared and ready for laminating teams on the following shift
    • Managing workload effectively to meet production targets and deadlines
    • Maintaining equipment, ensuring it is checked, serviced, and operating correctly
    • Completing all relevant production documentation accurately and on time
    • Working closely with supervisors and other departments to ensure smooth workflow
    • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
    • Identifying and escalating any issues relating to materials, quality, or production

    Skills & Experience Needed:

    • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (composites experience advantageous)
    • Experience operating CNC cutting machinery or similar equipment
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
    • Good communication and organisational skills
    • Ability to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines
    • Able to work independently and manage workload on a shift basis
    • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to escalate issues when required
