We're now hiring a skilled Skip & Roro Driver to join our team and help us achieve our environmental and operational goals.
The Role
Based at our Leeds depot (LS9 0PF), you'll operate HGV Class 2 vehicles. Your main job is to safely and efficiently transport waste materials. This is key to our smooth operations, environmental standards, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles (Skip, Hookloader, etc.) for waste transport.
Optimise routes for efficiency.
Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
Maintain accurate digital records (on tablet).
Comply with all safety, environmental, and traffic laws.
Provide excellent customer service.
Support waste reduction goals.
Be flexible for varied shift patterns (inc. weekends/Bank Holidays).
Report all safety incidents promptly.Essential Requirements
Valid CE licence & CPC.
Digital tachograph card.
Proven HGV driving experience (waste preferred).
Knowledge of vehicle safety & environmental rules.
Ability to drive/train on specific waste vehicles (Skip, Hookloader, etc.).
Good communication & customer focus.
Physically fit (for manual tasks & PPE).
