How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role title – PSD Performance Analyst
    Performance Analyst
    Contract - Permanent
    Location: Wakefield
    You will support PSD strategy, through analysis and evaluation, and interpret performance measures enabling information and effective management decision making to improve productivity and performance within PSD.
    Role and Responsibilities
    Analyse through a wide range of statistical techniques information from a variety of sources to allow for informed decision making. This will include disproportionality reports on conducts and complaints and Vetting applications as required and providing data for Freedom of Information requests.
    Key duties include:
    •Analysis of complaints, conducts and vetting
    •Disproportionality reports
    •Performance measures for PSD
    Expectations
    To succeed in this role, you will be expected to:
    •Be educated to degree level in a relevant subject with a quantitative element or relevant experience in a related field.
    •Have experience and awareness of using statistical techniques and tools to appropriate performance management.
    •Possess excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills, highly numerate with a methodical and analytical approach to problem solving.
    •Have experience and understanding of the use of Information Technology and knowledge of appropriate tools, techniques, and systems.
    •Be able to work in a high-pressure environment and to tight deadlines
    •Be educated to degree level in a relevant subject with a quantitative element or relevant experience in a related field.
    •Have experience and awareness of using statistical techniques and tools to appropriate performance management.
    •Possess excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills, highly numerate with a methodical and analytical approach to problem solving.
