You will be working on early/late shift pattern with alternate Saturdays.
1. Vehicle Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
* Inspect vehicles to determine issues using diagnostic tools, computer software, and manual methods.
* Identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems.
* Interpret error codes from onboard computer systems.
* Communicate findings to service advisors or customers.
2. Maintenance and Repair
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as:
* Oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, fluid replacements, and filter changes.
* Conduct repairs on:
* Engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and exhaust systems.
* Replace defective parts with new or refurbished parts.
3. Service Documentation
* Record work performed and parts used in dealership management systems.
* Provide detailed reports on repairs and maintenance for warranty and service records.
* Ensure compliance with manufacturer service protocols.
4. Customer Interaction (Indirect)
* Explain technical issues and repairs in layman’s terms to service advisors or directly to customers when needed.
* Estimate labor times and parts requirements for repairs.
5. Safety and Compliance
* Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations while working on vehicles.
* Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials (oils, coolants, batteries).
* Keep work areas clean and organized to prevent accidents.
6. Technical Training and Updates
* Stay updated with manufacturer technical bulletins, software updates, and new vehicle technologies.
* Attend dealership or manufacturer-provided training sessions to maintain certification.
* Use manufacturer-specific tools and equipment properly.
7. Warranty and Recall Work
* Perform repairs or replacements covered under manufacturer warranty.
* Execute recall repairs following precise manufacturer instructions.
8. Diagnostic Equipment and Technology Use
* Use computerized systems and specialized tools to test and calibrate vehicle systems.
* Maintain and calibrate diagnostic equipment as required.
