We are currently recruiting for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 5 pupil who presents with significant behavioural needs. This role is highly rewarding and requires consistency, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting both learning and emotional regulation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with complex behavioural needs
Implement effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
Support the delivery of an individualised learning and behaviour plan
Encourage engagement with learning where appropriate
Promote a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Record and report on behaviour patterns, progress, and interventions
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience working with SEND and/or challenging behaviour
Team Teach trained (or willing to complete training)
Calm, patient, and consistent under pressure
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Committed to supporting both the emotional and academic development of the pupil
