Salary: £33,000 and £37,000 per annum (dependant of experience and skills)

Our UK facility is co located on the Rolls-Royce campus on Victory Road, Derby, our largest UK customer.
We are close to the A50, M1 and M42 and within a short commute time from Derby, Nottingham and Leicester.
About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who wants to develop their skills working in an expanding and fast paced and skilled team. The role of Production Planner will be responsible for creating, inputting and maintaining workload planning for the Machine Shop operation. This role will be responsible for efficient planning of work, resources are utilised effectively, and customer delivery commitments are met with additional daily administrative support for the Machine Shop.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborate and be responsible for scheduling information with internal & external stakeholders to maintain clear communication and alignment.
Validate and manage production plans, including releasing work orders and updating planning systems (SAP).
Produce and communicate daily production priorities, highlighting risks, changes, and key focus areas.
Respond to operational changes (e.g. downtime, urgent demand, quality issues) and escalate where needed.
Prepare and present internal and external data when required.
Development of detailed task lists and work schedule assessment based on capacities within each workstream
Recommend and implement modifications to improve effectiveness and attain milestones.
Manage materials ordering and supplier deliveries, ensuring stock availability and resolving any issues.
Develop good working relationships with stakeholders to be able to embed the company’s control standards, systems and methods delivering accurate and quality project performance in a timely manner.
Provide general administrative support to the Machine Shop including holiday cover within skill level when required.
Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team.
Expected Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
Excellent computing skills across the Microsoft office suite.
Use of ERP systems (ideally SAP) in a manufacturing environment.
Experience of business-related administration.
Experience of manufacturing capacity and work schedule planning (ideally within a machine shop environment).
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify anomalies in data.
Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral.
Goal orientated and task driven, able to work to tight deadlines within a pressurised environment, while remaining customer focused and maintaining accuracy of data.
Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work alone and unsupervised as well as part of a team.
Ability to manage own priorities and workload.
Desirable
Working knowledge of engineering drawings.
Awareness of continuous improvement methodologies.
