Role Overview
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Structures team in Bristol. You will play a key role in inspecting, assessing, and reusing/retrofitting existing buildings, as well as contributing to the design of new structures across a variety of sectors. This hands-on, technically engaging role offers regular opportunities for site visits, early responsibility, and the chance to lead your own projects from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to structural design projects, including inspections, surveys, assessments, reuse/retrofit, and new-build design.
Take ownership of small to medium-sized projects with the opportunity to lead and deliver independently.
Engage in site visits and develop practical solutions on live projects.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Continue professional development and progress within your chosen institution (ICE/IstructE or equivalent).
Essential Experience and Skills
Proven experience in structural design, ideally in a consultancy environment.
Experience in leading small to medium-sized projects independently, with limited supervision.
Comfortable working across a diverse range of tasks, including inspections, assessments, reuse/retrofit, and new-build design.
Active progression within your professional institution training pathway (ICE/IstructE or equivalent).
