How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ECT – Key Stage 2 Teacher
    Primary School – London Borough of Tower Hamlets

    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract: Full-time, Permanent
    Salary: M1 (Inner London Pay Scale, £40,317 per annum)

    We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, for a passionate and motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Key Stage 2 to join their team from September 2026 on a permanent basis.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a supportive environment, helping pupils build on their learning, develop independence, and prepare for the next stage of their education.

    The role:
    You will take responsibility for a Key Stage 2 class, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that support pupils’ academic progress and personal development. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and receive structured support through your ECT induction.

    The school is looking for someone who:

    Has (or is on track to achieve) QTS
    Has a good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
    Is confident delivering English, maths, and foundation subjects
    Can support pupils in developing independence and critical thinking
    Creates a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
    Has high expectations for all pupils
    Is reflective and eager to develop as a teacher
    Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
