We are working in partnership with a highly respected and growing specialist subcontractor to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to lead and develop their commercial function.
This is a key strategic hire, offering the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial success of a well-established business with a strong reputation and pipeline of work.
The Role
As Commercial Manager, you will take full ownership of the company’s commercial operations, providing leadership, direction, and expertise across all projects.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading all commercial activities across multiple projects
* Managing and developing the commercial team
* Overseeing cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
* Ensuring robust contract management and risk mitigation
* Providing strategic commercial input at senior level
* Working closely with operational teams to drive performance and profitability
About You
We are seeking a confident and commercially astute professional with a strong understanding of contract law and construction practices.
You will ideally have:
* Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior QS role
* Strong contractual knowledge across NEC and JCT forms of contract
* Background within a specialist subcontracting environment
* Excellent leadership and team management skills
* A strategic mindset with the ability to influence at senior level
* A proactive, driven, and professional approach
Location
This role is based in the West Midlands, with projects primarily across the surrounding regions.
