About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of a regulated, high-standard facility. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring that all equipment, infrastructure, and utilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support the site maintenance team to deliver planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Manage and deliver the site maintenance programme, including:
- Maintenance of unit heating systems
- Monthly generator on/off-load testing
- Filter change programme implementation
- Routine checks of heating and ventilation systems
- Maintain and manage the site fault/repair log, ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Source and obtain quotations for repairs, servicing, and equipment replacement
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with health & safety regulations and internal procedures
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and ensure operational continuity
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers where required
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance documentation
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in systems, processes, and equipment reliability
- Support audits and inspections by ensuring facilities meet regulatory and quality standards
- Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and procurement of parts and equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory or team leader role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or facilities maintenance (multi-skilled preferred)
- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, or similar) is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of heating, ventilation, and backup power systems
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage maintenance schedules and logs effectively
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications
