The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Document Controller to support major infrastructure and engineering projects within a digital delivery environment. You’ll take a lead role in document control operations, ensuring information accuracy, compliance, and consistency across internal teams and the supply chain.
This is a hands-on position with responsibility for EDMS management, audit compliance, and mentoring other document controllers.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Lead Document Controller across multiple projects
- Manage EDMS platforms, including contractor submissions and approval workflows
- Maintain document accuracy, version control, and compliance with client standards
- Carry out regular audits and quality checks
- Standardise document control processes and procedures
- Lead, mentor, and support document control team members
- Improve information flow between contractors, project teams, and systems
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Document Controller in construction, engineering, or infrastructure
- Experience leading or mentoring document control teams
- Strong knowledge of engineering and design documentation
- Hands-on experience with EDMS systems
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Confident working with multiple stakeholders and project teams
