How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mental Health Worker - Wantage

    Are you ready to embark on an extraordinary journey in education? If so, join our dynamic team in a lovely specialist school in Wantage.

    This amazing school are looking for a Mental Health Worker to join them starting in ASAP!

    The role as a Mental Health Worker:

    Your role as a Mental Health Worker will involve supporting the class teacher with general class duties and be involved in helping prepare lesson materials. You will also support the students with their general work load as well as with their intervention plans designed to support their mental health needs. This will look like providing 1:1 support, encouraging emotions regulation and assisting during lessons.

    Your day as a Mental Health Worker will look like this:

    Supporting the students with their mental health, helping them to process and understand their emotions
    You may provide support in small groups or 1 to 1.
    You will work alongside the class teacher to create a safe and engaging learning environment where students can flourish and meet all their goals
    Helping to deescalate any high emotions and help students to regulate
    You will also help the class teacher prepare lesson materials and keep the classroom tidyThe successful Mental Health Worker:

    Will be confident
    Will have a compassionate and positive personality
    Will be proactive and take initiative
    Will have good problem solving skills
    Will be able to deescalate heightened emotions
    Will have an enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one
