We are recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a well-established manufacturing business based in Havant.

The role will suit either an existing Senior Mechanical Design Engineer or a strong Mechanical Design Engineer looking to step up into a more senior position within a specialist engineering and manufacturing environment.
The Role
As Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:
* Create mechanical designs for a range of products using 3D CAD software
* Take designs from concept through to production with full product ownership
* Produce advanced 3D models for new parts and assemblies
* Implement modifications and improvements across a range of mechanical products
* Support new product development activity within a fast-paced design environment
* Use your project knowledge to help ensure products are delivered on time and to budget
* Contribute to design reviews and support less experienced members of the team where needed
The Person
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* Previous experience in a mechanical design engineering role
* Good proficiency with 3D CAD software, with Creo experience beneficial but not essential as training can be provided
* Knowledge of stress analysis and FEA
* Experience working with a range of manufacturing processes, particularly sheet metal, castings, extrusions and fabrication
* Candidates from a range of engineering and manufacturing backgrounds will be considered.
