Stroud – Double Days - Permanent – Fulltime – Up to £33,000 + Bonus

We’re supporting a precision engineering business with a strong order book who are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team.

This role will suit someone confident working from engineering drawings and involved in both setting and operating CNC machinery within a production environment.

The role:

•      Setting and operating CNC machines (turning and/or milling)

•      Working from detailed engineering drawings to tight tolerances

•      Making program edits and adjustments at the machine

•      Ensuring consistent quality and minimising scrap

•      Supporting production targets and continuous improvement initiatives

•      Working collaboratively with team leaders and shop floor staff

The Person:

•      Proven experience as a CNC Machinist (Setter/Operator level)

•      Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances

•      Ability to make program edits and set machines independently

•      Experience working with common engineering materials

•      Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirable:

•      Apprenticeship or engineering qualification

•      Experience working with a range of materials in a precision environment
