This role sits within the Structural Integrity Group and will see you operating as a technical specialist, delivering high-quality structural analysis across a wide range of complex systems.
The Role
As a Structural Integrity Engineer, you will:
Develop and validate high-fidelity finite element models across metallic and composite structures
Perform static, dynamic, thermal, vibration, and fatigue analyses
Conduct damage tolerance and durability assessments
Produce clear strength summaries, reports, and risk assessments aligned to MoD standards
Translate analysis outputs into manufacturing and inspection requirements
Support design reviews, client engagements, and technical audits
Drive continuous improvement through tools, automation, and modelling processes
Key Requirements
Degree-qualified (BEng or equivalent) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Strong background in structural analysis (5+ years in industry)
Proven experience with MSC Nastran and associated pre/post-processing tools (Patran, Simcenter, ANSA, etc.)
Solid understanding of linear and non-linear analysis methods
Experience with fatigue, stress analysis, and hand calculations
Knowledge of metallic materials (aluminium, titanium, steel) and exposure to composites
Scripting experience (Python or similar) and familiarity with HPC environments is advantageous
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Hybrid working: On-site Mondays and Tuesdays, remote remainder (subject to business needs)
Candidates must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC) and be willing to progress to Developed Vetting (DV)
