About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Design Manager to join the London team and take ownership of design management across a portfolio of fire remediation and recladding projects, acting as Principal Contractor.
You will lead the design process from early-stage concept through to construction, ensuring design integrity, compliance with building regulations, and alignment with project objectives. You will liaise with external consultants, internal teams, and key stakeholders, taking a strategic role in shaping the technical direction of the projects.
This role offers the chance to work on high-profile schemes valued up to £20M and influence best practices in façade design, safety, and sustainability.
For the right candidate, the company would consider a directorship position, reflecting the strategic importance of this role.
Salary & Benefits
* £80,000 – £100,000 basic salary (dependent on experience)

Requirements
* Proven experience as a Senior Design Manager, Design Lead, or similar role within façade or cladding projects
* Strong technical knowledge of external envelope systems, including fire remediation design
* Track record of managing the design process on Principal Contractor projects
* Excellent understanding of building regulations, fire safety compliance, CDM, and relevant standards
* Capable of coordinating with multiple stakeholders including architects, engineers, and clients
* A detail-oriented, proactive leader with a passion for safe and efficient design
* Ambitious and commercially minded – with potential to step into a directorship role
