The Role
Working closely with the Solicitor to the Inquiry and Counsel, you will play a key role in identifying witnesses, gathering and analysing evidence, and supporting the overall investigative process.
Key responsibilities include:
Identifying and recovering evidence, including engagement with external stakeholders
Reviewing and analysing large volumes of documentation and assessing relevance
Supporting the preparation of summaries, thematic reports, and briefing materials
Drafting legal documentation including Rule 8 requests and Section 21 noticesAbout You:
To be successful, you will:
Be a qualified Solicitor in Scotland with 5+ years’ PQE
Have a background in litigation or large-scale project work (medical negligence experience advantageous)
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage high volumes of complex information
Be adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working as part of a small, dynamic teamWorking Arrangements/Info:
Based in central Edinburgh (Waverley Gate)
Minimum of three days per week in the office
Contract length up to 23 months
Some travel may be required (primarily Dundee/Tayside)
Salary: £62,111 - Ltd day rate: £326.04 - PAYE (INC) £276.66
