How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Do you believe every family should be able to access the right support, at the right time, in welcoming community spaces? We’re looking for a Families Together Coordinator to strengthen partnership working across Huddersfield and Rural communities—bringing local voices into the room, connecting services, and helping turn insight into practical action.

    What you’ll do

Coordinate quarterly Families Together partnership meetings—bringing partners together, setting agendas, capturing actions and keeping momentum.
Build strong relationships with Navigators, community hubs, school-led hubs, early years providers and health partners so pathways stay clear and joined-up.
Support and strengthen the Community Champion offer, including regular catch-ups, feedback loops and champion-led initiatives.
Plan and deliver themed community events (minimum four per year) that help families access advice in welcoming, non-clinical spaces.
Deliver outreach and relationship-based engagement, including targeted support and home visits where appropriate, to reduce barriers and build trust.
Capture insight, evidence outputs/outcomes and contribute learning and unmet need into wider decision-making structures to influence longer-term change.
Supervise volunteers (and line manage sessional staff where required), ensuring role clarity, wellbeing support, boundaries and safe practice.
Work confidently within safeguarding, confidentiality and information governance requirements.

    What we’re looking for

A relationship-builder who is caring, inclusive, responsive and collaborative—and committed to communities
Experience coordinating community-based work with children, young people and families (early help/early years/youth/community development).
Confidence planning and coordinating activity across partners, venues and locations, with strong organisation and follow-through.
Great communication and facilitation skills—able to create welcoming spaces where people contribute and feel heard.
Comfortable capturing insight and impact (numbers, themes and stories) and keeping clear records on IT systems.
Understanding of safeguarding and safe practice; able to maintain boundaries and escalate concerns appropriately.
Able to travel across Huddersfield and rural parts of Kirklees
Level 3 (or above) in Early Years or Health & Social Care or equivalent relevant experience.
Desirable: community language skills; trauma-informed practice; experience supporting volunteers/community champions; experience coordinating health/early years outreach in community settings.

    Hours

We are keen to make sure we get the best person for this role. To make sure we attract the widest range of candidates we are willing to be flexible about the number of hours per week you are appointed for. We will consider someone who is looking for 16 hours a week as well as someone who is wanting a full time role (and anywhere in between). We have a wide range of activities and initiatives for someone to get involved in. To be clear, the successful person will be appointed on a fixed number of hours per week.

    Staff Benefits

LS2Y offer a comprehensive package of staff benefits designed to support your professional growth and wellbeing:

Funded Training and Qualifications: Ongoing training and development opportunities, with encouragement to progress to higher qualifications (Level 5 and above).
Progression Opportunities: The chance to play a key role in shaping the nursery and to progress within the wider LS2Y organisation.
Coaching and Mentoring: Support with staff development, including coaching, mentoring, and consistency in practice.
Reflective Supervision: Regular opportunities for reflective supervision and feedback, supporting your professional journey.
Staff Wellbeing Support: Health cash plan, employee discounts, on-site free parking, and a supportive, welcoming team environment.

    What LS2Y Offer

A supportive and welcoming team environment.
    Ongoing training and development opportunities.
    Competitive salary and staff benefits.

In summary: The LS2Y Families Together Coordinator role is much more than a job — it’s an opportunity to be part of a values-driven organisation that invests in its people, supports families, and makes a positive impact in the community. If you’re passionate about children and families, community engagement, and professional growth, LS2Y offers a rewarding and supportive environment.
