About the Role
We are looking for a committed and experienced Senior Social Work Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality services for children, young people, and families.
In this role, you will work alongside social workers and partner agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children, ensuring their needs remain at the centre of all interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Casework
* Manage an allocated caseload as directed by the Team Manager or Social Worker
* Provide direct support to children, young people, and families
Assessments & Interventions
* Gather, record, and analyse information to support assessments and decision-making
* Contribute to safeguarding processes in line with statutory requirements
* Support the delivery of practical, day-to-day interventions for families
Partnership Working
* Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomes
* Ensure a coordinated and joined-up approach to service delivery
Recording & Reporting
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and reports
* Communicate effectively through written and verbal channels with a range of stakeholders
Professional Development
* Keep up to date with legislation, policies, and best practice
* Engage in reflective practice, supervision, and team meetings
* Contribute positively to team performance and service improvement
About You
* Experience working with children, young people, or families in a safeguarding or support role
* Strong organisational and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Knowledge of safeguarding practices and relevant legislation (desirable)

* This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check
* The position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act
