How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    INTERNATIONAL BUYER | WARRINGTON | 6-MONTH TEMP, FULL-TIME | UP TO £45,000 DOE
    Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm | Friday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

    KPI Recruiting is proud to represent our long-standing client based in the Warrington area, who is seeking an experienced Buyer fluent in English and German to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

    You will be responsible for:

    Reacting to Purchase Requisitions for Ad-hoc (Spot Buy) and Inventory Controlled items in a timely manner.
    Placing Purchase Orders in the company system.
    Expediting delivery of orders and updating Delivery Promise Dates within the system.
    Ensuring on-time delivery of goods through effective supplier monitoring and management.
    Identifying and executing cost reduction initiatives by negotiating price reductions or identifying product substitutions through formal agreement and approval with the customer.
    Reporting and tracking cost savings within the company system.
    Resolving non-conforming delivery issues and arranging the return of goods for credit or replacement.
    Resolving invoice queries.
    Ensuring company reports are maintained in a timely manner (weekly basis).

    You will have:

    Fluency in German (essential).
    Experience working within a demanding manufacturing environment where continuity of production is paramount.
    Strong negotiating skills.
    Knowledge of inventory control processes.
    Proven ability to identify and execute cost-saving initiatives (e.g., price reduction, approved product substitution, product standardisation).
