Design Engineer

We currently have an exciting opportunity with one of our clients, a well-established and innovative refrigeration specialist based in Bedford. Operating across the UK, they design and build bespoke refrigeration systems and components, offering end-to-end solutions from concept through to installation. With a strong reputation for technical precision and reliability, they are looking for a new addition to their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Design Engineer to join a growing company and take ownership of the full design lifecycle in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities for a Design Engineer:

* Produce 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks and other CAD tools

* Develop concept designs and convert them into detailed construction drawings

* Select components based on technical specifications and project requirements

* Source and procure materials and parts for production

* Maintain accurate technical documentation and project files

* Collaborate with internal teams and field engineers to ensure successful project delivery

Key skills for a Design Engineer:

* Proficient in SolidWorks and other industry-standard CAD software

* Strong understanding of mechanical design principles

* Full UK driving license
