M&E Surveyor – Leeds BTG Eddisons – Asset Management Team

BTG Eddisons is looking for a motivated Junior Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Surveyor to join our Leeds office.

This role is ideal for individuals with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering — especially those currently working “on the tools” who want to step away from hands‑on trade work and progress into a professional surveying career. If you’re ready for a new direction, structured development and long‑term progression, this is a strong pathway.

The Role

Support senior surveyors with M&E asset surveys

*

Log, tag and record building services equipment

*

Assist with plantroom inspections and condition assessments

*

Capture and verify data on HVAC, heating and electrical systems

*

Produce clear survey notes and digital records

*

Work as part of a multidisciplinary surveying team

What You’ll Need

*

Foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering

*

Basic understanding of plantrooms, HVAC and electrical installations

*

Strong IT skills and confidence using digital survey tools

*

Good communication skills

*

Willingness to learn and develop

*

Full UK driving licence (essential)

*

A desire to move away from tools‑based work and build a long‑term professional career in surveying
