Machine Operator

GMP Recruitment Agency Limited are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful, specialist manufacturer located in Malvern. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Machie Operator to join their team on a full-time permanent contract, to be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining various machinery to ensure efficient production processes.

Full training will be provided for the successful candidate but previous experience operating a Laser Cutter, Punching Machine or Press Brake would be beneficial.

This position is working Monday – Friday offering a salary up to £32K pending relevant experience.

Machine Operator main duties:

* Setting and operating a Laser Cutter, Punching Machine and Press Brake.

* Reading engineering drawings.

* Loading and unloading material.

* Forming various sizes and thicknesses of steel.

* Visual and physical inspections of work.

* Ensuring goods are safely packed for transport between sites.

Machine Operator required skills and experience:

* Understand manufacturing processes.

* Be able to read engineering drawings.

* Have experience using Verniers and Protractors.

* Have experience of various sizes and thicknesses of blanks.

* Have strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and solve problems.

* Be able to work independently and collaboratively.

* Be able to multitask a varied workload with robust time-management skills.

* Be willing to learn new skills with a can-do attitude.
