The Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a leading role in the delivery of structural projects across residential, commercial, education and mixed-use developments. You will be responsible for driving designs forward, coordinating technical outputs and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
You will also act as a key point of contact for clients and design teams, helping to maintain and develop strong working relationships while contributing to repeat business and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead structural design on projects from concept through to construction
Produce, review and sign off calculations, drawings and technical reports
Manage the technical delivery of multiple projects concurrently
Liaise directly with clients, architects, contractors and consultants
Attend design meetings, site visits and project workshops
Provide clear technical guidance to junior and intermediate engineers
Ensure solutions are practical, buildable and cost-effective
Contribute to continuous improvement in design standards and delivery
About You
Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
Proven experience in a structural consultancy environment
Strong technical capability in steel, concrete, timber and masonry design
Confident using structural design software and AutoCAD (Revit beneficial)
Comfortable taking responsibility for projects and client interaction
Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset
Chartered or nearing Chartership (ICE / IStructE) preferred
Full UK driving licence advantageous for site/client visits
