KS1 Teaching Assistant - Horwich Area, Bolton

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an energetic KS1 Teaching Assistant for a friendly primary school in Horwich, Bolton. This role focuses on supporting younger learners in Year 1 or Year 2 as they develop key early skills in reading, writing, phonics, and maths.

The school is looking for someone positive, reliable, and passionate about helping children build strong learning foundations. You will work alongside an experienced class teacher in a warm and inclusive setting.

Duties:

Support phonics sessions and guided reading
Work with small groups on maths and literacy
Help maintain routines and behaviour expectations
Prepare classroom resources
Encourage pupil participation and confidence
Support social interaction and emotional wellbeing

Candidate Requirements:

Experience with young children
Understanding of phonics beneficial
Friendly and patient nature
Strong teamwork skills
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Teaching Assistant Qualification or Degree educated
