How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Revit Technician/ Permanent / Peterborough – salary £35,000-£45,000 per annum depending on experience.

    Position 1 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Revit Technician to join a successful Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy based in Peterborough. Due to an expanding workload, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects and grow your skills within a dynamic, professional team.

    Revit Technician will be an experienced Autodesk Revit user preferably with an ICE or IStructE EngTech qualification and demonstrable experience.

    Revit Technician will have experience working on projects conducted to BIM Level 2 and be conversant with associated protocols. They will be proficient detailing both Drainage and Superstructure schemes in Revit. The successful applicant will have a good knowledge of building details, and have worked on projects incorporating steelwork, concrete, masonry and timber, and be proficient in RC detailing and scheduling.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Develop fully detailed Revit models by interpreting engineers’ calculations and sketches.

    * Liaise with clients and project team members to ensure coordinated Revit models.

    * Support projects through construction stages, addressing queries from site regarding model details.

    * Mentor and oversee less experienced technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.

    * Ensure models and drawings are delivered to a high standard and meet project requirements.

    This is a full-time permanent position, with great benefits as 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with length of service), Christmas and January bonuses subject to business performance, increased pension contribution
