How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Maintenance & Compliance Manager
    Location: North Walsham
    Salary: £60,000 – £62,500 per annum
    Hours: 37.5 hours per week - 8:00am – 5:30pm
    Position 1 Recruitment are working with an established manufacturing company, who are seeking an experienced and driven Maintenance & Compliance Manager to join the Senior Leadership Team.
    Key Responsibilities:
    * Lead and promote a strong Health & Safety culture with a zero-accident mindset
    * Develop and implement a business-wide Asset Care Plan
    * Oversee installation, maintenance, and improvement of production lines
    * Deliver engineering and operational projects, including scope, cost, timelines, and risk management
    * Collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team, stakeholders, and external contractors
    * Drive the implementation and optimisation of a CMMS (data-driven maintenance culture)
    * Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, BRC, and all relevant regulatory standards
    * Manage and develop Engineering and Asset Care Team Leaders, supporting performance and progression
    * Lead recruitment, training, and succession planning within the team
    * Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
    Skills and Qualifications required:
    * Proven experience (3–5 years+) managing engineering or maintenance teams
    * Strong engineering background (mechanical, electrical, or technical)
    * Project management experience (Stage Gate process preferred)
    * Continuous improvement experience (TPM or similar)
