How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Recruitment Administrator
    Location: Langham, Essex (Outskirts of Colchester)
    Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum

    About the Role

    We’re looking for someone organised, approachable, and proactive to join our team as an Account Handler / Administrative Support. This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same.

    You’ll be supporting our consultants, speaking with candidates, assisting with managing client accounts, and helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people but also has a strong eye for detail.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    * Supporting the recruitment team with day-to-day administration

    * Speaking with and registering candidates looking for work

    * Formatting CVs and preparing candidates for submission

    * Assisting consultants with sourcing candidates for live vacancies

    * Arranging interviews between candidates and clients

    * Managing and supporting client accounts, ensuring a high level of service

    * Helping out with general office tasks to keep things organised

    What We’re Looking For

    * Recruitment experience is a bonus, but not essential – full training will be provided

    * Good office and IT skills (Microsoft Office and general systems)

    * Confident and professional on the phone

    * Comfortable in face-to-face meetings with candidates

    * Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks

    * Good attention to detail, especially when working on CVs and candidate info

    * A team player who’s happy to get stuck in and help where needed

    About You

    You’re someone who is friendly, reliable, and enjoys working in a busy environment. You’re confident speaking to people, can build rapport quickly, and take pride in doing things properly.

    You don’t need loads of recruitment experience – just the right attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to get involved.
