Our client, a leading IT consulting firm are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeller with deep Insurance and London Market expertise to design, govern, and evolve enterprise‑grade data models across underwriting, pricing, claims, reinsurance, and delegated authority. This role plays a critical part in shaping cloud‑based, analytics‑ready data platforms by translating complex London Market processes into robust, scalable, and auditable data structures. You will work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to ensure data models support regulatory, reporting, and insight‑driven use cases.
Your Role:
Design and maintain enterprise data models across policy lifecycle, underwriting, pricing, claims, reinsurance, and delegated authority domains.
Develop and govern Canonical Data Models, Data Vault (RDV & BDV), and Dimensional models, selecting the right approach based on integration, auditability, and analytics needs.
Model data for modern cloud platforms aligned with Medallion Architecture (Silver, Gold, and Semantic layers).
Translate complex London Market business rules into reusable, well‑defined data assets.
Lead data modelling workshops and collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, actuarial, and operations teams.
Engage senior stakeholders to validate assumptions, standards, and design decisions.
Embed data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and audit considerations into models.
Produce clear documentation including entity definitions, glossaries, mappings, and lineage artefacts.
Your Skills:
Extensive experience as a Data Modeller within Insurance and the London Market.
Strong domain knowledge of syndicates, delegated authority, reinsurance (including ceded), underwriting, pricing, and claims.
Expert understanding of Canonical, Data Vault, and Dimensional modelling techniques.
Proven experience designing models across Silver, Gold, and Semantic layers.
Strong SQL skills for data profiling, validation, and modelling support.
Experience supporting large‑scale data platform transformation or modernisation initiatives.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non‑technical audiences.
Confident, credible senior stakeholder with strong facilitation and advisory capability.Senior Data Modeller - Hybrid London - £75,000 - 90,000 base salary plus 15% cash flex (guaranteed income and can be taken as cash or used to buy extra benefits) plus bonus
