How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Field Service Project Engineer
    Contek Recruitment Solutions are collaborating with our client who are a leading UK-based manufacturer of specialized refuse collection vehicles (RCVs), has a rich history dating back to 1907. As part of a Group, they design and build complete vehicle solutions—bodies, chassis, and bin lifts—at its Warwick and Blackpool sites. Renowned for high-visibility, low-entry cabs (Elite 6) and a strong focus on safety and sustainability, they offer a competitive salary between £30,000 - £39,124.80 per annum, dependent on experience, along with excellent benefits.

    Key Responsibilities:
    - Service, repair, and support heavy plant equipment at customer premises and service sites.
    - Deliver operator and “train the trainer” training as required.
    - Conduct inspections to ensure work meets high safety and quality standards.

    - Complete accurate documentation and job reports.

    Skills, Experience, and Education:
    - Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
    - Knowledge/Expertise: A qualified engineer (NVQ/C&G Level 3 or equivalent) with strong diagnostic skills and experience in maintenance and repair of heavy plant or similar equipment.

    - Business Impact: Customer-focused, flexible, and willing to travel nationwide and work away from home when needed.
