How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    QC Production Chemist

    Location: Oxford
    Job Type: Full-time, Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week
    Salary: £30,000 - £35,000Join our team as a QC Production Chemist and play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and compliance of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. This position is crucial for generating reliable analytical data, maintaining high-quality documentation standards, and collaborating across teams to support manufacturing, supply chain, and product development activities. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of quality systems and laboratory processes.

    Day-to-day of the role:

    Own and deliver routine QC testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, ensuring accurate and timely results aligned with production needs.
    Perform HPLC and phys/chem analysis in line with validated methods and industry standards.
    Support product development, troubleshooting, and supply chain activities through additional analytical testing, including new material validation.
    Maintain clear, accurate, and compliant documentation, including test results, quality records, and retained samples.
    Manage retained samples and associated records to ensure full traceability.
    Support raw material release and qualification processes to enable efficient manufacturing operations.
    Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and contribute to root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
    Collaborate cross-functionally with QC, Production, Supply Chain, and R&D to resolve quality and process-related challenges.
    Provide analytical support during manufacturing campaigns to ensure smooth execution.
    Assist with stability studies, including sample preparation, tracking, and ongoing monitoring.
    Maintain and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and efficiency.
    Identify opportunities to enhance QC workflows, systems, and documentation practices.
    Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners on quality-related matters.Required Skills & Qualifications:

    Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
    Strong hands-on laboratory experience, particularly in HPLC and phys/chem testing.
    2-3 years minimum experience in a QC, QA, or manufacturing environment (industrial or scale-up experience preferred).
    High attention to detail with robust documentation and record-keeping skills.
    Ability to investigate technical issues using structured problem-solving approaches.
    Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
    Excellent organisational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
    Experience working with complex laboratory instrumentation and validated methods.How to Apply:
