How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain direct, relevant experience ahead of future Speech and Language Therapy training.
    About the RoleWe are seeking an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school based in Lambeth, South London.

    You will work 1:1 with a child who is non-verbal and has Autism, supporting their communication, engagement, and development throughout the school day. This role is ideal for graduates who want to progress into Speech and Language Therapy, Educational Psychology, or related SEN professions.

    Key Responsibilities
    Working 1:1 with a non-verbal autistic child
    Supporting communication through visuals, routines, and structured approaches
    Encouraging engagement, interaction, and expressive communication
    Assisting with learning, emotional regulation, and sensory needs
    Working closely with teachers and external professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists
    Supporting the child’s overall wellbeing within the classroom environmentIdeal Candidate
    A graduate (for example Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Education, Linguistics, or a related field)
    A clear interest in Autism and supporting non-verbal children
    Aspiring to train as a Speech and Language Therapist
