Salary: £34,398 – £52,490 per annum

Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience.
Teach Now is working in partnership with a successful co-educational secondary school and sixth form academy in Hertfordshire to recruit an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher. The Role

You will deliver engaging and inclusive Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5), inspiring students of all abilities to enjoy sport and lead active, healthy lifestyles. Beyond the classroom, you will play a key role in contributing to a vibrant extra-curricular programme, including clubs, fixtures, and competitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across a broad and balanced curriculum
• Inspire and motivate students to participate in physical activity and sport
• Assess and monitor student progress, ensuring strong outcomes for all learners
• Lead and support extra-curricular activities, teams, and school fixtures
• Promote health, fitness, and wellbeing across the school community
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the PE department
The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs welcome)
• Has experience teaching PE at secondary level
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge across a range of sports
• Is passionate about inclusive practice and student development
• Brings energy, commitment, and enthusiasm to both teaching and extra-curricular sport
• Has strong classroom management and organisational skills
